Land Ownership 0% open

Antigua and Barbuda

What data is expected?

Data should include maps of lands with parcel layer that displays boundaries in addition to a land registry with information on registered parcels of land. The Index focuses on assessing open land tenure data (describing the rules and processes of land property). Responsible use may enable tenure security and increase the transparency of land transactions. The assessment criteria were developed in collaboration with Cadasta Foundation. For more information on land ownership datasets and where they're located, check out Cadasta Foundation's Data Overview.

  • Parcel boundaries (inc. latitude and longitude)
  • Parcel ID
  • Property value (i.e. Price Paid, Property Tax Value)
  • Tenure Type (ie. leasehold, freehold, protected lands, public lands, customary lands)

How open is the data?

The Antigua & Barbuda landfolio® Public Access Website has been provided by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda to allow general public users, and other to search the government’s land records and retrieve information. Searches may be performed by parcel number, by instrument number, by party or owner name, by address, or by an interactive map. The information available includes physical parcel characteristics, ownership information, parcel transaction history, document images, aerial photographs, and comprehensive parcel reports. However at the current time, public access has been limited to performing simple searches by parcel number and/or by instrument number. To access the map sign in is required https://www.lands.gov.ag/landfolio.publicaccess.web/Contents/Search.aspx
