This data category requires results by constituency / district for all major national electoral contests. Election data informs about voting outcomes and voting process. What are electoral majorities and minorities? How many votes are registered, invalid, or spoilt? To enable highest transparency, the Index assesses polling station data. Data for electoral zones does not suffice. The Index consulted the National Democratic Institute (NDI) to develop this data category. As submitter noted, results available are only major results and registered votes, no information for invalid votes or spoiled ballots. Data available at constituency level. By-Election results (1954-2011) are available in HTML format, structured in tables. It is also possible to download as PDF, DOC files. As for General Elections (1956-2008), data is also available in HTML but it is unstructured. Would require significant scrapping efforts to collect the data. Information for the 2013 elections results not available.
