National Statistics 100% open

Canada

What data is expected?

Key national statistics on demographic and economic indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), or unemployment and population statistics. See our methodology section for more information.

  • Gross Domestic Product
  • National unemployment
  • National population

How open is the data?

Census data are collected every 5 years, population estimates are done every year. For each census the data has to be retrieved individually (so there is no link to datasets containing time series). As the submitter states: "This data is very well described and has excellent accompanying documentation."

Thank you, Tracey P. Lauriault, for contributing to the Global Open Data Index.
