Government Budget 65% open

Costa Rica

What data is expected?

National government budget at a high level, that is the planned government expenditure for the upcoming year, and not the actual expenditure. Open budget data allows for well-informed publics: showing where money is spent on, how public funds develop over time, and why certain activities are funded. We recommend that you consult our methodology section for more information.

How open is the data?

Comment reviewer: the first link in B2.2 (https://cgrweb.cgr.go.cr/apex/f?p=10263:2:0:::::) was not working and I have based my review on this link (https://www.hacienda.go.cr/contenido/13889-ley-de-presupuesto-de-la-republica-2017). The data is available in PDF, and xls, the xls provide a lot of detail. The problem is with the unavailability of bulk download. The data for 2017 was available, so I changed the question B6 from no to yes, and the question B8, I removed csv, because I could not find that in the provided links.
