National Laws 30% open

Namibia

What data is expected?

This data category requires all national laws and statutes to be available online, although it is not a requirement that information on legislative behaviour e.g. voting records is available.

  • Content of the law / status
  • Date of last amendment
  • Amendments to the law (if applicable)

How open is the data?

Laws are available on the Parliament's website, where the title, date of assent and date of publication (in the Gazette) are listed in HTML, while the content of the law is available for download in PDF format. Amendments are listed alongside laws, with reference in text to the laws they are amending, but without direct links. The website is not up-to-date at this time, the data is not openly licensed, nor is it available to be downloaded in bulk. For these reasons, I have modified the original submission/review to reflect the availability of the data.
