What data is expected?

All tenders and awards of the national/federal government aggregated by office. It does not look into procurement planning or other procurement phases. Open procurement data may enable fairer competition among companies, allow to detect fraud, as well as deliver better services for governments and citizens. Monitoring tenders helps new groups to participate in tenders and to increase government compliance. The Index draws on work from the Open Contracting Partnership. How open is the data?

Contractmapping.govt.nz provides details of social service funding and contracting information from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Social Development and Te Puni Kōkiri (Ministry of Maori Development). This comprises the name of the provider, their address, the area in which they deliver their services, the type of service delivered, the number of clients or services they are contracted to provide, and how much funding they receive for their services. It is openly licensed - see https://www.contractmapping.govt.nz/tools/privacy.html The Ministry of Culture and Heritage lists all of its awards, including funding - for example, see https://www.mch.govt.nz/westpac-new-zealand-arts-awards-2015-recipients-announced

Not every contract awarded has contract amounts, except when there is more than one contractor. No changes in the submission. Data is only available in HTML form.
