What data is expected?

Key national statistics on demographic and economic indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), or unemployment and population statistics. See our methodology section for more information.

How open is the data?

Population statistics are outdated. Last census data relate to 2013, latest birth and death statistics are available for 2015 (an update of annual data for 2016 was postponed from February 2017 to May 2017). GDP for latest quarter via https://www.stats.govt.nz/tools_and_services/releases_csv_files/csv-files-for-infoshare.aspx, but not clear which rows apply to GDP without additional research.
