What data is expected?

Key national statistics on demographic and economic indicators such as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), or unemployment and population statistics. See our methodology section for more information.

How open is the data?

The official Omani data portal provides statistics on population, GDP, oil prices, international trade, public finance, and other topics, but not unemployment. The data in many of these sections does not appear to be up to date, with some not being updated for more than two years.

This submission is valid, thank you Riyadh Al-Balushi for contributing to the Global Open Data Index. B9 amended to 2 as limited file formats available. Statistics bulletins contain information on labour and job seekers but not specifically unemployment.
