List of registered (limited liability) companies. The submissions in this data category do not need to include detailed financial data such as balance sheet, etc. Open data from company registers may be used for many ends: e.g. enabling customers and businesses to see with whom they deal, or to see where a company has registered offices. This definition draws on the work of OpenCorporates.

Your submission is valid. Thank you very much for contributing to the Global Open Data Index. Data of Registered Entities with Unique Entity Number are available for free and downloadable in bulk on the Open Data portal in .CSV format, and .JSON via API. Data can be downloaded separately for Entities Registered with Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and Entities Registered with Other UEN Issuance Agencies in .CSV, or together in a .ZIP file. Data contain UEN Number, Issuance Agency, UEN Status, Entity Type, UEN Issue Date, Registered Street Name, and Registered Postal Code. They are updated weekly and are available under the Singapore Open Data Licence. According to the submitter, the dataset contains registration information not just for companies but also for schools, trade unions, and charities, among others. It's worth noting that in Singapore, the UEN is the identifier for registered businesses, so it's the search term that people would use when looking for company-related data. Furthermore, in Singapore each postal code refers to a specific building instead of a district. The dataset provides postal code and street name of each registered company where applicable. Lastly, all datasets on Data.gov.sg follow a tidy, machine readable format.
