Locations 100% open

Slovakia

What data is expected?

A database of postcodes/zipcodes and the corresponding spatial locations in terms of a latitude and a longitude (or similar coordinates in an openly published coordinate system). The data has to be available for the entire country. See our methodology section for more information.

  • Zipcodes
  • Addresses
  • Coordinates (latitude, longitude)
  • Data available for entire country

How open is the data?

Data from Address Registry is published by NASES (organization running data.gov.sk) based on agreement with Ministry of Interior (responsible for Address Registry). Data is available under CC-BY license and is split into multiple dataset, copying "upstream" data model: from list of regions at the top, though counties, cities and streets to the list of actual address points. All the data required for Census is available, although some of it requires combining together several datasets and then running a query. Additional hurdle is that coordinates are not in GPS but in S-JTSK (Slovak norm).
